I just installed a 195/55VR-16 Kumho The ECSTA SPT XRP.

So far It's an outstanding tire. Only put 200 mi on it yesterday, but It is rock solid at 110 MPH. 80 mph sweepers not a problem. Updates will follow.

Tom, right now I'm running 35 psi. I would say I am about an 8th of an inch way from full tread use when the pegs are scraping.

How are you measuring how much tread is on the ground when pegs are dragging ?? I used water in my tests, ran through the water and made tight turns.. Dunlop D901, 3 inches on ground in tight turns

Tom

I run this same tire. I had started a post about it, but it seems to have been removed Crying or Very sad . I just returned from the west coast on friday, so I have just over 5000 miles on my Kumho. I started out with 30 psi, as many claim lower is better, but I'm back to 40 psi in mine. I ran old Route 66 coming East, and talk about twisties (West of Kingman)...... This tire is a keeper!!!

At 30 psi I had to much sidewall flex in 80 mph curves, that gave a very uneasy feeling, this tire has a max psi of 51 if memory serves me, so maybe that's equal to the guys running pressures below 30 psi on other tires.

Excellent choice Sandcrab Very Happy
